Dr Matthew Evison was qualified from Manchester University Medical School in the United Kingdom in 2004. He undertook specialist training in Respiratory Medicine between 2008-2014 including a two-year fellowship in Thoracic Oncology at the University Hospital of South Manchester (UHSM) completing an MD degree. He was appointed as a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine (Thoracic Oncology) at UHSM in 2014.
Dr Evison is Member of two British Thoracic Society Specialist Advisory Groups (Lung Cancer & Mesothelioma and Pleural), Secretary of the Lung Cancer Group in the European Respiratory Society, Member of the British Thoracic Oncology Group Steering Committee and Member of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer Communications Committee. In 2017 he was appointed as the Director of the Lung Cancer Pathway Board in Greater Manchester.
